David Crane is in his first year as "Voice of the Blazers". A Decatur, Ala., native, Crane is a 1994 graduate of the University of Alabama. Crane joined the UAB crew after spending the previous 11 years broadcasting for the Crimson Tide Sports Network. For the last nine seasons, Crane served as the radio play-by-play announcer for baseball and women's basketball. In addition, he called play-by-play for football on Alabama's tape delay and pay-per-view telecasts and also served as host for UA's weekly television show highlighting all sports. Crane will handle the play-by-play duties for UAB football, men's basketball and baseball. In addition, he will serve as host for the football and men's basketball coach's radio and television shows. |
